Description

Please add the "GD25B127D" chip by updating "GD25Q127C/GD25Q128C" To "GD25Q127C/GD25Q128C/GD25B127D"

The GD25B127D chip is almost identical to the GD25Q127C. With the difference that the "Q" variant has an extra feature allowing the Reset pin to be repurposed as a low power "Hold" pin. The bits associated with this function in the status register are not even read by flashrom.

This chip is found on the Dell Latitude 7490 laptop.

Hello Arthur,

That was a good idea to create the ticket here! (we don't do development in GitHub).

Would it be possible for you to test a patch? https://review.coreboot.org/c/flashrom/+/86996 Do you still have the chip?

Just in case, here are instructions how to download a patch: https://flashrom.org/dev_guide/development_guide.html#downloading-patch-from-gerrit

If you also could add Tested-by tag in commit message for yourself, that would be ideal!
Tell me how it goes, I certainly can help with updating commit message.

Thank you!
