I was not able to build the crossgcc toolchain because it was not able to download acpica-unix-20251212 from Intel. I cannot download from Github either because the script checks the hash and my own download won't match.

When I attempt to access the Intel download directly using firefox, it apparently entered an infinite loop. wget gives me a zero length file. This leads me to believe this source is permanently gone.

I then downloaded acpica-20251212 from Github and modified the checksum file to force it to match, then the patching failed because the source folder no longer has "unix" in the name.

This is becoming much too involved in an area I don't usually operate in, hence this ticket. We'll need to quickly migrate to downloading acpica from Github. While we're at it, we should also validate release 20260408 (it has seen a newer release).
