I'd like to program a MX25U25673G using Flashrom. Is there any chance this chip will be supported by Flashrom?
According to the datasheet, this chip has the peculiarity that "Quad I/O mode is permanently enabled" (MX25U25673G Datasheet, https://www.macronix.com/Lists/Datasheet/Attachments/8825/MX25U25673G,%201.8V,%20256Mb,%20v1.1.pdf, page 1). I'm not entirely sure if this means only QSPI is supported, or normal SPI can be used, but needs to be specifically enabled. In the datasheet on page 19 there is an instruction for disabling QSPI and the mainboard does not provide SIO3 on the programming header, which would be consistent with the possibility of disabling QSPI.
