Description

At least with 4.12-406-g87e36c442e, the system often, maybe 5 to 10 % of the time, hangs in SeaBIOS during VGA Option ROM execution.

Running option rom at c000:0003

The only remarkable difference in the coreboot console logs between working and non-working boots is:

-PCI: 06:00.0 bridge ctrl <- 016b
+PCI: 06:00.0 bridge ctrl <- 0143

(Though I forgot if that is due to having the docking station (for the serial port) connected or not.)

The last known working commit (minus SMP init in the Linux kernel) is 4.11-1593-g49111cd2ba 2.

In the text, I forgot the reference to the logs for 4.12-406-g87e36c442e, so it didn’t show up:

I swapped the problem frequency numbers: It hung 90 % of time.
